This is the personal website of Saim Ehsan, a freelance software engineer based in Lahore, Pakistan. I am responsible for the personal data described here. Questions or requests: saim.ehsan@ark-crew.com.
Contact form
When you send the contact form, I receive your name, email address, the category, budget and message you enter. They are sent to my mailbox by email (my email provider is Namecheap Private Email) and are used only to reply to you and discuss your project. I do not sell or share them with anyone else.
I keep enquiries until they are closed, at most two years. If we work together, I keep what is needed for the project and for my accounting for as long as that requires.
To prevent abuse, the form counts messages per visitor for one hour. It stores a one-way hash of your IP address for that hour, not the address itself.
Server logs
Like most websites, the server that hosts this site (rented from Oracle Cloud) records requests: IP address, date and time, the page requested and your browser's user agent. These logs are used for security and troubleshooting and are kept for a limited time.
Google Analytics (only if you accept)
If you click “Accept” on the cookie banner, the site loads Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see how
visitors find and use the site. Google Analytics then sets the cookies _ga and
_ga_CJBKK84N3H, which last up to 13 months, and Google processes the data as described in
Google's privacy policy. If you decline,
or do not choose, nothing from Google is loaded.
Fonts, images and all other files of this site are served from this site itself; no other outside services are contacted while you browse it.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data I hold about you, object to its use, or withdraw your consent to analytics at any time (button above). Write to saim.ehsan@ark-crew.com and I will answer within 30 days. If you live in the EU or the UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
Changes
If this notice changes, the date at the top changes too.
